The first thing I decide when starting a new project is what tone I want to achieve. Guitar body and top wood are the two first and most important factors to decide in creating your ideal tone. I categorize body woods in two sections, standard and premium. Most of my body woods are hand chosen by me for ideal beauty and tone. Other sources of great luthiery wood are not as readily availble in the desert, so I rely experienced and trusted luthiery suppliers.
::BUILDING PROCESS::
Every guitar I make starts with a full scale 3D design. I take the time to work out every detail before buying any wood to make sure everything will work the way I want it too. This also lets clients see what the guitar will look like more completely than a drawing and a few discussions.
We discuss every aspect of the guitar from wood choices, neck thickness, headstock shape, hardware, finish options, even to what kind of case they want their guitar shipped in. Every aspect of the guitar is important and I want people to feel like they learn a lot in the design process.

Standard Neck Wood Options ::
*All my necks are made of 3 - 9 pieces of quartersawn hardwood. I create strong stable necks using multiple laminates to ensure stability, rather than routing away unnecessary wood for graphite stabilizers.
